Modern Turtle Quilt

Over the past month I've been working on finishing up the many quilt tops I had laying around.  It feels good to finally get the quilts done and share them.

I found this fabulous chartreuse yellow fabric and absolutely LOVED it!!  I sketched out a simple block and got to work cutting out all the little pieces.

I went through my stash and scraps and picked out fun prints to go with it.  I was quite surprised how they all worked great together.  Now I didn't originally intend for this to have anything to do with turtles but after I started putting the blocks on my little design wall, I saw the turtles.  I kind of like it.

I quilted it with a simple allover meandering design.

I found this fabulous elephant print to use for the back.  I love the look of the chartreuse and purple together.  I think chartreuse will be used more often in my quilts.
