Great day for some sewing...

It's been a rainy day here so it makes it perfect to do a little sewing.  I finished up my knitting needle holder earlier today (see previous post) and just decided to keep going.  I decided to try and make a little project bag for my knitting projects and made a "leetle bag".  It is a great tutorial and didn't take long at all to make up.  I am very happy with the finished project and will probably make some more (can't have too many bags!)

Yesterday, my Mom and I stopped by a new quilt shop that I have been hearing great things about!  Three Crafty Quilters is a lovely shop with beautiful fabrics.  The ladies are very nice.  Here are just a few of the goodies I picked up:

Finished Hanging Circular Knitting Needle Holder

I spent the morning in my craft room working on my needle holder.  I spent a good twenty minutes ripping out the seam because I wanted to sew a trim on the edges.  I'm very happy with how it turned out.  If I decide to make another I'll try to remember to make up a little tutorial.

Well, since not only is the Barrett Jackson auto auction on this afternoon, plus NASCAR, I'm off to my room to do some more sewing....

Knitting Needle Holder

Like all knitter's I have quite a few circular knitting needles.  I don't like to keep them in their original packaging (unless they are my Harmony needles) because I don't like the cables to curl up.  Today I sat down and started sewing a hanging circular knitting needle holder for my craft room.

Doing a little sewing and a little knitting...

Last Friday I made the curtains for my sewing room.  It was a bit of a rush job as we had guests that were staying the night so they had to go up fast.  I'm overall pretty happy with how they turned out.  I did line them so they look nice from the outside too.

I also picked up knitting on my Ten Stitch Blanket again.  I haven't knitted on this in over a year and thought it would be good to try and get it finished.  I'm trying to use up all the Noro in my stash and hopefully that will get me to a decent size throw.  In the past week I've added three balls to it and am on to my fourth.  I think I have about 3-4 more to go.
