A Little 4th of July Quilting

I borrowed a great book from the library by Darlene Zimmerman, "Quick Quilted Miniatures".  I love the patterns and think I will need to break down and buy a copy.  There was one pattern that I wanted to make this weekend for the 4th of July and it was the Uncle Sam pattern.  Yesterday I went with K-Ro after knitting to a quilt store hoping to find some fabric for the quilt.  I must say K-Ro is a great enabler.  While I was very good at the quilt store and only bought a yard of fabric to make a cover for my swift and two charm packs, Ms. K-Ro kept saying "Is that all you're getting?  I can't believe that's all you're getting!" - this from the lady who got NOTHING.  Afterwards we went to Joann's where I did find the fabric for my quilt.

We had a great time yesterday doing some fabric shopping, had a little lunch and a lot of laughs!

Today I spent a delightful afternoon working away on Uncle Sam:

I'll finish it tomorrow.  For now I need a little knitting.
